Vegan
Vegan chocolate is chocolate made without milk or any animal derived ingredient. Cacao and cocoa butter are already plants, so the only job is replacing the dairy that makes milk chocolate creamy. AORAH does that with cacao butter, plant protein and roasted hazelnut.
Milk fat, milk powder, whey, casein and lactose are the obvious flags. Then read the allergen line: if it says may contain milk, the bar was probably made on shared equipment. The ingredient list tells you the recipe. The allergen line tells you the factory.
Dark chocolate is the easy one: it can be naturally dairy free. A vegan milk style chocolate is harder, because creaminess has to come from somewhere else. In the AORAH 36% Protein it comes from cacao butter and plant protein, with crunch from millets, quinoa and hazelnut.
